Storytelling and Spirituality
Once considered a societal taboo to discuss mental health challenges, a panel of religious leaders will reveal how their respective religions have adapted over time to address these challenges and guide families toward a path of spiritual strength and healing.
Objective
To open a conversation exploring different aspects of mental health and spirituality with the aim of demonstrating top-down vulnerability and authenticity. This panel will discuss how the church is adapting to collective openness around mental health, highlighting common struggles, universal truths and shared solutions between various religions and denominations, while helping de-stigmatize mental health in religious and spiritual arenas.
Execution
A moderated panel discussion and event, held between late November and January, featuring spiritual and religious leaders, as well as a forum for members of various congregations to come forward with their mental health story.
Outcome
Connection and understanding between various religions and denominations, and expanded understanding of shared challenges that transcend differences and divisions.
